MREL's Blasting Instrumentation Department manufactures the world's most popular and proficient family of continuous explosives velocity of detonation (VOD) recorders. These rugged and reliable instruments are used throughout the world by blasters and explosives experts to verify the performance of explosives, as well as deck to deck and hole to hole delay times. Two of the units can also be used as portable high speed data recorders to record sensor data such as vibrations, pressures, temperatures etc.

MREL's Blasting Instrumentation Department provides affordable, compact high speed digital video camera systems for blasters and explosives experts. Each camera is provided with ProAnalyst® Video Analysis Software to easily investigate blasthole delay times, face velocities, and stemming ejection. The Blaster's PWT™ Portable Wireless Trigger System is also available to provide wireless operation of the cameras from a remote distance.
